Reading A Friend’s Book

A couple days ago, I decided to look up my friends (current and long lost) on Amazon to see what books they’ve published.  I found several. I bought a Kindle Book from a long lost friend, Sheilah Brooks. I felt like we were chatting together. I regret that I didn’t take the time to support her in her writing journey. My loss. I truly miss her.

A couple days ago,  I wrote my first romantic scene for my novel. I’ve always shied away from writing any kind of romance. However, if there are love relationships in the story, they need to be written–and can be done tastefully.

I’ve been told the pro is your (potential) reading audience can give you feedback in helping you create a more powerful story. The con is you can find yourself  writing your story for other people–and lose your creativity. What are your thoughts?
